Hi everyone,
Sorry - unfortunately, due to a WHIRLWIND of family and work matters, I haven’t really had the time and mental capacity to do a lot of writing over the past few weeks.
I did think about rushing out a Falcon Talks, but I think that doing so would do the topic an injustice - and, honestly, I don’t even really have the mental capacity to rush an article out either right now… ☹
So, instead of inundating your inboxes with half-baked articles and stories, and burdening myself with guilt and pressure, I felt that it would be best to take a break instead.
I hope to be back on Nov. 7th with either a new Falcon Talks or the next installment in The Red Riding Hood Saga (which has been titled “The Rapunzel in a Field of Rapunzels” - ah yes, my penchant for puns 😆).
In the meantime, if you haven’t yet, please check out some of my recent offerings!
Mirrors of the Snow Queen - The latest installment in The Red Riding Hood Saga: this time, the knight Lady Red faces the mysterious Snow Queen who seeks to expand her domain of ice and snow! (Link to Part 1 of 3)
Zeta Gundam - Children Caught Up in Adults' Wars - The newest Falcon Talks where I discuss a scene in Zeta Gundam and the message that it tries to convey about old vs young, our place in the world as elders, and children getting caught up in wars.
A Taste of Love in Hearts and Minds - A reprint of a creey and… disturbing horror story that I did a few years ago. Also has an audio reading with some music and sound effects if you’re interested!
And with that, I’m going on break!
Until next we meet, have a Happy October and a Happy Halloween! 😄🎃
I definitely read this email when you shared two weeks ago.... and I thought to comment and then didn't 🙃
Good for you for taking the time you need for your family and yourself. It's so important. I hope you got the rest and space you needed. Looking forward to reading Rapunzel's story! You'll probably hear from me in a month in the comments at the rate I'm going haha
I'm so sorry you've been dealing with a lot of stress with your family and with work. Take care of yourself. Breaks are crucial and we do need them from time to time. Your mental health is the most important thing and it should always come first. We'll all be here when you get back 😊
