Thoughts: On Consistency and Titles
Of course, I've heard people say it before - if you want more attention on your work, as a content creator, then you have to be consistent with putting out new content.
That, and also that titles need to be snappy and attention-drawing. Or, to put it in a less tactful term - 'clickbait'.
Those of you who've been following along on my journey here, thus far, will know that I've not been really doing either.
Not only are all my posts so far titled "Lotis Heroes Monthly - <insert month>" (or some variation of that), but after nearly two years of having a new short story every month, my schedule started slipping.
Now, to be fair to me on the schedule part - my short stories have been getting longer and more elaborate lately, and coming up with a new story every month is hard (especially with a full-time job as well)!
And I refuse to rush a story out when it's not done - which is something that will probably never change (for stories that I own, at least).
And so, I had a thought - why not make short blog posts about writing.
Surely, there are some interesting things that I can write about writing!
Well, here's that the first post!
And I'll endeavour to have a new blog post every second Monday!
... let's see how long this lasts... 😅
As for the titling issue - I've decided to start titling my posts with more descriptive names.
But, I don't want my story posts to be ‘polluted’ by my blog posts - as in, I don't want to have it such that when someone is looking through the archives, they can’t tell which is which.
And so, for future blog posts, I will prefix them with "Thoughts:", while future story posts will be prefixed with the type of story or series that it belongs to (for example, "Retelling Myths" for stories that are part of that series, or "Short Story:" for unrelated short stories).
Also, I will create a new archive for Retelling Myths on here as well.
I already have an archive on my website, but I figure that it’d be beneficial for readers to have one here as well.
So, that will be coming soon.

The next Retelling Myths will be about Sun Wukong, the Monkey King, and the Journey to the West.
As for why or how I'm going about writing this... that's something that I'll save for next time! 😉
