Hi everyone!
So, this is sort of a “bonus” post before the Thursday post this week, which will be a Falcon Talks.
Mirrors of the Snow Queen saw this newsletter/blog get a bunch of new readers, for which I am very grateful for.
So, I just wanted to say thank you to all my readers (new and old), and I hope that you all enjoyed Mirrors of the Snow Queen! As well, thank you to everyone who’s featured and/or recommended my Substack and stories! 😄
For readers who’ve only read Mirrors of the Snow Queen so far, I hope that you’ll check out the rest of The Red Riding Hood Saga as well!
(I also have a whole bunch of other stories here on Substack and another bunch more on my website.)
Now, about the future…
Those of you who know me know that I despise churning out stories and posts just for the sake of ‘creating content’ (this is a personal statement about me, and not a judgement on anyone else’s work).
I don’t want to put out any posts that I’d consider banal, and I certainly won’t put out any stories that don’t pass my own arbitrary line of quality at the time.
(Though I’ll admit - that arbitrary line of quality is squiggly and has moved around a lot… 😅)
Even when I did Retelling Myths, where I wrote a short story a month for three years (though I did miss ‘only’ three months 😅), months of planning, research, and outlining had gone into nearly each one before the actual writing, proofreading, and editing.
All that, along with having a full-time job (and just having to deal with life in general), means that it would be very hard for me to continuing putting out a new post every week as I’ve done for the last month or so. And I certainly won’t be able to put out a new story that frequently.
All that’s to say, I’ll be posting only every two weeks for the next little while.
Most of these will be Falcon Talks, until I run out of ideas/topics for them
Behind the scenes, I’ll be working on my next story - I do have plans for more stories in The Red Riding Hood Saga, and there may be a few unrelated stories in the works as well!
So, my dear readers, I hope that you’ll stick around, even if this writer doesn’t post as frequently as others might.
And a huge thank you again to everyone who took the time to stop by and read Mirrors of the Snow Queen (as well as my other stories)! 😄
Until next time…
(… I really hope all that wasn’t banal… 😅)
Not banal at all! Might be a nerdy writer thing, but I enjoy the peek into your newsletter process
