We're watching through Zeta now and really enjoying it. War in the Pocket also comes to mind as another great exploration of what happens when youth collides with war.
I love 1980s Japanese anime shows like this. I've never watched Zeta Gundam so I'll have to check it out sometime. I've always been obsessed with retro anime similar to this like Akira and Dragon Ball Z.
Ooh, let me know what you think if you do get a chance to check it out! (Though I do recommend watching the original Gundam movie trilogy first - while Zeta Gundam IS a soft reboot of sorts with a new main cast and storyline, there is a lot of things that have a deeper meaning if you know what happened in the original.)
Akira and DBZ were awesome! 😄
And Dragon Ball is my favourite manga! I love Toriyama's distinctive style, the story, and the way that he made it flow so well with his panels and layouts!

Awesome - I'm glad to hear! 😄
Hopefully, the article didn't spoil too much for you... 😅
And yeah, War in the Pocket was also quite tragic that way as well... Poor Bernie, Chris, and Al... 😢
